For 2009, however, there are quite a few changes to the A4 2.0T quattro, my tester with a Tiptronic transmission. The sedan is a full 117 mm (almost five inches) longer and 50 mm (two inches) wider than its predecessor, giving the A4 added interior and cargo space as well as added head, shoulder and rear knee room.
Aesthetically, the new A4 has a prominent upper bodyline and upswept lower body side crease that gives it a muscular demeanor. Grille-adjacent winglets and venturis are the sole aerodynamic devices; there is an upswept line to the rear deck and body color shark-fin satellite radio antenna at the rear center of the roof. The horizontal rear tail lamps are delicate in nature and easy on the eye.
