Get the spreadsheet offer .xls from CarBuyingTips.com, http://www.carbuyingtips.com/car4.htm. You have to revise it a bit for some of the hidden Ontario taxes but once I pulled out my dealer wholesale printouts and laptop with my spreadsheet every dealer cut straight to the chase and offers of 3.5% were readily accepted. Never buy the day you make your offer. I waited two days and after playing two dealerships off against each other, the price went down a further $300. |  | |

The Wholesale Price Report made me realize that there is not as much of a difference as I expected between MSRP and the wholesale price. But knowing the wholesale price made me more confident in negotiating a price with the dealership. I chose the dealer because I found the dealership to be responsive but not overbearing. I knew what I was looking for and they answered my questions but they were not aggressive. I visited another dealership that was closer to home but I strolled the showroom looking at cars for 10 minutes with no one paying attention so I left and actually went to my second choice. |  | |
