I had to school him on the specifics and the options for the car. He also tried to add all sorts of stuff that wasn't needed into the price. The dealer suggested in the Car Cost report was not the closest to my house so I went to the closest one believing that the information in the Car Cost report would lead me to an easy and clean negotiation. After deciding on a car etc. the price first offered by the dealer was considerably ($1,000) higher than I was expecting with a bunch of "extra" charges ($400 for Nitrogen in the tires etc.) accounting for the difference. Luckily, we did not have time to close the deal as we had some kid related errands to do so we left and during our absence, I was able to call the Car Cost recommended dealer (Kia of Brampton) and speak to the named rep who over the phone was able to provide/offer the price I was expecting. Armed with the new info, I went back to 401 Dixie Kia and presented my new offer. They thought I was crazy but as I knew I could drive another 15 minutes up to Brampton and get the deal I wanted/deserved and could recreate the math (i.e. no extra charges) I got the right deal on the spot. Ultimately, I felt bad about what happened to Brampton Kia and I only have VERY positive things to say for their straightforward approach. In hindsight, I should have gone directly there and cut out my awkward and costly detour to Dixie 401 Kia!!!! | ![]() | |

Make sure you read the fine print on dealer websites some offer pricing that include admin & PDI fees others add them after you negotiate a price. Don't accept just the known discounts. I chose 401 Dixie Kia because they were open on Sunday which was very convenient for me when my local dealer Cardinal Kia in Niagara Falls told me to go elsewhere because they wouldn't match other dealers online pricing or negotiate. | ![]() | |

As I review the sales receipt I know that there isn't much I would change, I would have liked to negotiate the Administration fee out but could not, in the end the only thing that would make a difference to our bottom line would have been a lower interest rate, but with the Soul being a brand new model it was not in the cards. I will say though that at %4.7 that is the lowest interest rate I could find on a 2010 model with the financing terms 60/84. | ![]() | |

There was no problems with pricing and also the dealer and they added a 1% dealer market/profit on the Sportage, that was good. I'm first choice was the 2011 but all sold out. There was no more cash savings or dealer rebate as you would have received on the 2011 vehicle. All and all it was an easy experience for my girlfriend and l.
