Thus it is from his cost, so any deal you work out, he will add back that amount into any negotiations......basically if he is giving you 3 per cent over cost, he will say 3 percent plus buyer to pay back that one month payment.. |  | |

I did comparison test drives on the Mercedes Benz GLK350, Lexus RX350 and Audi Q5. All three cars were very comparable in terms of features, quality etc. There are differences, some of which come down to personal preferences and bias towards one brand or another. So here is my quick analysis of why I got the Q5: GLK - not the best looker, knee space for a tall driver is a small but annoying issue, styling is somewhat 'old' (I could see what they were going for, but didn't quite get there), handling was ok, accel. was pretty good, someone will always show up with a ML320 making you look 'smaller'....what's the point of the GLK?? RX 350 - good quality, great leather, realibility is great, financing rates good too. Drives like a heavier car than competitors (if you're a 'driver' you won't like it, the HUD sucks (a reflection off the windshield? totally not WOW), good car and came the closest to the Q5. Lexus fans will probably stick with this and I wouldn't blame them. In the end though BORING. Q5 - great styling (S line package is a great deal), beautiful interior (look at the dials vs. competitors, headliner cloth etc.), MMI is GREAT, handling and performace are better than any of the others, best Panoramic sunroof. The Navi package is a bit of a rip off @ $3500 but what else can be done? WHERE ARE THE DISEL MODLES?!? Overall this car beats the competition in a lot of subtle and some not so subtle ways. Carcost Report - Dealer actually liked the fact that I had the report. Some customers come in there thinking the dealer is making 10K on each car. Negotiation process was totally painless and took only 10 minutes (dealer had 8% markup, talked him down to 4%) which we both agreed was reasonable. THANKS CARCOST! |  | |
