Larry from Sudbury, ON reported on Monday, May 04, 2009, buying a 2009 Ford F-150, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
I purchased a vehicle at exactly the right time. I received more than $14,000 off the dealer list price plus $1,000 in free accessories. When dealing, try for more than one dealership (same, i.e. Ford) in your area. If you go out of town and get prices from a smaller dealership in a smaller community, you are more likely to save.

Arthur from Val Caron, ON reported on Friday, August 07, 2009, buying a 2009 Ford F-150, and saving $500 off of MSRP.
Because of the Employee Pricing Discount ($4800) and Delivery Allowance ($6500) ($11,300 combined discount) and people waiting to buy this truck if we did not (there were 2 other customers seriously looking at it and talking to sales people while we were trying to negotiate), the dealership was not willing to move from MSRP. They also claimed the Car Cost Canada report wrongly reported dealer cost. It was the only vehicle like it in the area and even calls to Toronto dealers could not find this model with the color and options we wanted. The salesman said that the Car Cost Canada report may have made a difference if the $11000 incentive was not in place or if we were buying a car. They had sold 42 trucks in the past few weeks and only a few cars. Nonetheless, I think we will be happy with the truck, even if we are not really happy with the dealership. Unfortunately, we experienced what a limited supply can do when there is huge demand.
