Ken from Regina, SK reported on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, buying a 2011 Ford Escape, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP.
Experience with dealer In addition to the 2000 saved from the dealer also received the Costco Discount of 1000 When buying, check the residual values (what the manufacturer thinks the vehicle will be worth) of lease returns for the same vehicle to get an indication of future value Debated between this vehicle (Escape) and a Fusion that was almost exactly the same price. When I checked the residual values for leases, I found the three year residual value of the Escape to be 44 percent and three year residual value of the Fusion to be 31 percent. Since we trade every three years purchasing the Escape became automatic.

This vehicle was a factory order. At Ford if you make your own financing arrangements, you can participate in another program that gets nearly 1000 dollars off (this vehicle - I don't know if the amount saved varies by vehicle). The program works by leasing the vehicle for two years and then buying it out. The transactions are simultaneous and you walk out owning the vehicle. My next door neighbor received and used the same offer on a similar truck. A dealer in another center offered me the same thing. An interesting note. When we were negotiating on this vehicle, the dealer was printing off the dealer order specs. It showed both dealer cost and MSRP. Both were identical to the Car Cost Canada report.

Raymond from Regina, SK reported on Wednesday, September 07, 2011, buying a 2011 Ford Ranger, and saving $9,000 off of MSRP.
I chose the dealer from past experience. They also had the exact vehicle I wished. I went in and offered the sales manager 4% over my invoice price (from Carcost Canada) and stated that I would buy the vehicle that day if they agreed to the price as I calculated it. They went over their figures and agreed to my cost -to the dime.
