| Diondi from Vancouver, BC reported on Friday, January 08, 2010, buying a 2010 Volkswagen Golf GTI, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP. Golf GTI is great car, but not a lot of discount/extras right now due to popular status and low stock. Car Cost Canada dealers made life very easy. | ![]() | |

| Kam-Hung from Richmond, BC reported on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, buying a 2008 Volkswagen GTI, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP. Reviews were not lying when they said the VW GTI is the ultimate hot hatch, because it is. You get all the features and quality of an Audi and the performance of a Porsche, for significantly lower price than even the most similarly-equipped Japanese car. With the CCC invoice price, negotiating was easy. Luckily, I came across a salesperson who acknowledged people using CCC to get invoices and was willing to give me a good deal as long as I gave him a fair profit. But for future reference, any car negotiation should be simple if you follow something similar to this: Let the sales rep know you have the full invoice price, but you are willing to give them a fair profit. You don't need to be an asshole to get a good price on a car. Prepare a "max willing-to-pay" price for yourself (but don't let the sales guy know it) using the invoice before you go negotiate and start off with a lowball (ex. invoice + $100) before you move up. Assuming your max price gives the sales a fair profit, don't be afraid to walk out if he/she doesn't budge when you''ve reached you reach it. Go to another dealership, or come back on a different day and talk with another salesperson if you need to. | ![]() | |

| Dave from Delta, BC reported on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, buying a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP. I enjoyed my experience with Cowell. They were not pushy, and I was very comfortable with the experience. I was armed with the CarCost report, yet, in this particular case used it only to validate that I was getting a good deal. They never even knew I had it!!! | ![]() | |
