Dealer was Open. Dealer was the recognized contact for Nissan CCC -Northern Alberta. Cost + 3%, -4000 for NonStackable Dollars. No Administration fees (unlike Sherwood Park Nissan). Great Experience!

The wholesale price report was the basis for my negotiations. The dealership gave me the wholesale price plus $500 and cost for additional upgrades and warranty packages.

Negotiate via email in order to obtain the best possible quotes on your vehicle, then simply repeat the process over and over again until you have your best possible price. When you are not in front of them at the dealership and when they know that you have all of the invoice information, their attitude changes considerably. My sales rep (Audi) was very professional and courteous to work with. The folks in the finance department were rather lame in their upsell attempts, however. It remains to be seen how well the dealership will do in the future, but so far I am pleased. I am happy with my purchase and the solid deal that I was able to negotiate - $500 under cost. In terms of the overall buying experience, I would say that it was positive, and I would recommend Audi specifically if you are looking for a new Nissan in the Edmonton area.

By using the Wholesale Price Report I was able to purchase the vehicle at 5.5 % above dealer cost. The dealer needs to make a fair profit on the vehicle and I wanted a good deal. I feel we both did well on this deal. The report also reported that there was a $4000.00 lease to dealer program. I was at another dealer and he told me it was $2000.00. It is good to have all the facts when purchasing.

My dealer was already familiar/affiliated with CarCost, so got in touch with me directly once I ordered a report. I focused on getting as close to that 3% figure as possible, as opposed to the "easy way" of splitting the difference between 3% and 6% and accepting 4.5% right away. Once we agreed on price/percentage "markup", we sorted out some little extras as well (i.e. cargo mat, fuel card).

Cherry from Spruce Grove, AB reported on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, buying a 2012 Nissan Rogue, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP.
Ericksen Nissan was the third Nissan dealership I went to during my car shopping. They offered a very low price with almost no fees. The post delivery inspection was included in the price and a Nissan Rogue comes standard with the winter accessories so I did not have to pay extra for that. The only fee they had was a $400 security etching fee. With this service they will also pay you $5000 if your vehicle is stolen, on top of whatever your insurance pays out. However, if you do not want this you can have it waived. In the end I paid 4% above dealer cost, that included the PDI and got free oil changes for life. The sales rep even bought me lunch while I was waiting for the vehicle to be detailed! On a side note, Sherwood Park Nissan charges a $289 documentation fee (many dealerships have this fee) but the sales manager at Ericksen Nissan informed us that Nissan doesn’t allow documentation fees. Not sure how they get away with it but something to think about.
