I had heard good things about Erinwood Ford so after talking with the sales person, I could tell that they would be easy to deal with and flexible when negotiations started. Chevon was very informative about the vehicle and after test driving the vehicle I had made my mind up. I approached them with a price and there was no back an forth. They accepted it. Knowing the dealer cost is the key in a successful negotiation and when they know that you have that information, they don't fool around. There is a drop dead cost that the dealer will let the vehicle go for. They have to make a profit but each dealer is different. Erinwood Ford let the vehicle go for less than what they paid for it. The only reason they let it go at this price is the 2% holdback they were receiving from Ford enabled them to turn a small profit. Word of advice is go to a high volume dealer as they are more flexible with their profit margins. Good luck. | | |

Chevon is a great guy and it was a pleasant buying experience. The reason I say "no" is simply because they wouldn't honour the CarCostCanada price. I ended up paying an extra $400 or so, which in hindsight could have upgraded me to a performance package (more when combined with the deals offered a week after I bought). For me, although I regret the money that was left on the table, the guys are great here and the location is handy. | | |
