It's better to find your preferred car in dealer's inventory first (via the Internet) and then to negotiate the price because each car may has different optional package installed. The price listed in the report is only the basic price.

I've been shopping for a car for a while, first time when I showed the printout from carcostcanada.com I got $1000 off Ford Family Price right away. The dealership where I finally bought my Escape gave me $1600 off Ford Family Price, which I consider a good deal. So I think that money I spent on membership were well spent :)

Searched vehicle through internet and Erinwood had the vehicle I wanted and at a special internet price. The Wholesale Price Report provided me with the comfort and satisfaction that I was getting a good deal. The actual price was even lower than the report price including rebates etc. Very satisfied with your report and the dealer service.

I was pretty straight with them from the get go and let them know I was using this site. The price came right down, they didn't want to waste their time or mine.

I had heard good things about Erinwood Ford so after talking with the sales person, I could tell that they would be easy to deal with and flexible when negotiations started. Chevon was very informative about the vehicle and after test driving the vehicle I had made my mind up. I approached them with a price and there was no back an forth. They accepted it. Knowing the dealer cost is the key in a successful negotiation and when they know that you have that information, they don't fool around. There is a drop dead cost that the dealer will let the vehicle go for. They have to make a profit but each dealer is different. Erinwood Ford let the vehicle go for less than what they paid for it. The only reason they let it go at this price is the 2% holdback they were receiving from Ford enabled them to turn a small profit. Word of advice is go to a high volume dealer as they are more flexible with their profit margins. Good luck.

Closest dealer to me, vehicle was hands down the most impressive from the bunch that I was looking at and best bang for buck, used the WPR to shave off a thousand dollars in the second visit.

Erinwood Ford has a large inventory of new vehicles. Their website is very helpful in assisting the buyer to identify the vehicle of interest and the pricing for it. The staff has excellent product knowledge and are forthright about the available incentives.

Larry from Toronto, ON reported on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, buying a 2011 Ford Fusion, and saving $3,000 off of MSRP.
Be reasonable in negotiations. The dealership and sales rep need to get paid for their work, same as everybody else. Don't overpay, but don't try steal money from people. Otherwise there won't be any good dealerships around.

I chose this dealer because of it's location in relation to my home. Chevon is a great guy and it was a pleasant buying experience. The reason I say "no" is simply because they wouldn't honour the CarCostCanada price. I ended up paying an extra $400 or so, which in hindsight could have upgraded me to a performance package (more when combined with the deals offered a week after I bought). For me, although I regret the money that was left on the table, the guys are great here and the location is handy.

NIIT from Mississauga, ON reported on Friday, March 20, 2009, buying a 2009 Ford Mustang, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
I choose Erinwood Ford because the dealer price was well below the wholesale price generated by Carcost. I don't know how they are able to discount it so low, but I'm very happy with the deal.
