The wholesale price report was an excellent tool and provided a starting point for negotiations at a "fair" price. The MB dealership claims that their pricing is 9% above cost while your report showed it to be 10.5%, we settled on them making 4% on the car. I negotiated with multiple area dealers and the initial quotes from them were all at full list and once I brought the Car Cost report into the equation many just walked away. The demand for this car is quite high so this didn't help the negotiations but I am satisfied that I received a fair deal and look forward to several years of driving pleasure. |  | |

We used the Wholesale report to see what was the margin they were receiving after discount and factory rebates. Knowing that part of the discount was a factory rebate we were able to push for additional discounts. |  | |
