Justin from Calgary, AB reported on Thursday, October 20, 2011, buying a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer, and saving $1,000 off of MSRP.
In regards to the Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback SE, the car fit what we were looking for very well. It offered the space of a small SUV without losing the feel and handling of a car. We were very happy with the financing offered (0% for 60 months) as well as Mitsubishi's unrivaled warranty. After struggling with our first salesman we switched over to the Car Cost Canada recommended salesman who also happened to be the New Car Manager. He was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Being a Car Cost Canada Member served to be helpful as it was immediately noted by our salesperson and eligible financing and incentives were applied. Would we have been made aware of certain incentives if I had not had the knowledge given to me by Car Cost Canada before hand is undetermined as it was not brought up when we talked about pricing with our original salesperson. I used the Wholesale Price Report in negotiations and it served beneficial however there was a discrepancy between the reports dealer cost and the dealerships which served as somewhat of a roadblock. Also to any future buyer you must be aware that on top of the price you negotiate to there is approx $1300 in additional fees as well as GST. The experience in the payment/financing office was not a pleasant one as several additional sprays, coatings and protectors are offered for a premium price. The Financial Services manager had a really tough time comprehending "no thank you" and continued to make them sound like great deals by just adding them onto Bi-weekly payments which I found comedic. All in all we were very happy with the vehicle we chose which makes it tough to rate the experience we had poor, also to be fair this was my first time buying a new car and have no other experiences to compare it too. Hope this helps, good luck!

Superb service but the loyalty program that Mitsubishi has is not available on the report. Hopefully, you can check that out; Thank you still.

Platinum was awesome, would definitely buy a car from them again and recommend anyone looking at a Mitsubishi vehicle to head over there and do business with them. 10 out of 10 rating.

We chose our dealer because of the way we were treated, we went to the other Mitsubishi dealership in town, they didn''t even want to do business with us. I presented the offer with a spreadsheet that I had found online, just typed in the infomation from carcost it figured out the dealer holdback, fair profit to the dealer etc.. and gave it to my salesperson. He looked it over, and gave it to the sales manager. The sales person then brought back the actual dealers invoice for the vehicle that we were looking at. Lone and behold the information provided by Carcostcanada was exactly the same for the wholesale price. Now the dealer knew we have information (which is power). There was a couple of counter offers back and forth and we finally settled on the TOTAL price not a monthly payment. Don't let them work you on a monthly payment the TOTAL price is what you are after. SO with the carcost report we were able to save money, better in my pocket than the dealers. We were not a "today buyer", They wanted us to pay full MSRP + FEES + GST. I had to research my purchase as everyone should on a large purchase like this, it was our second visit to the dealer with the information in hand that made me comfortable with negotiating the right price for us.

My research showed that the Mitsu Outlander LS had premium features, was safe/dependable and was reasonably priced compared to other brands in this class. We have 2 Mitsu dealerships in Calgary. I caught the sales rep at one dealership in 2 major lies, so I walked. Platinum Mitsu was straight up and accepted 5% above list after being told I had the CarCostCan. report.

Mark from Calgary, AB reported on Sunday, November 09, 2008, buying a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
I wanted to get away from domestic vehicles. Mitsubishi has an outstanding warranty and their quality appears to be really good. The wholesale price report gave us a negotiating starting point. With this report we knew that the dealership was adding 10% to the cost of the vehicle and we knew we didn't want to pay that.
