| Seema from Edmonton, AB reported on Monday, November 01, 2010, buying a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer, and saving $500 off of MSRP. After comparing my experiences with other people, the consensus is to go to West Side Mitsubishi instead. Wholesale Price Report generally showed me that the car price is not padded, compared to other vehicles. | ![]() | |
| Jedidiah from Sherwood Park, AB reported on Saturday, March 28, 2009, buying a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP. Just showing the fact that I had a wholesale price report to the sales rep impressed him, and he didn't even look at it to see what number it had before he went to his sales manager to get a price for me (this is the price that I ultimately ended up going with, after visiting other dealerships!) | ![]() | |

| Joseph from Cold Lake, AB reported on Friday, March 27, 2009, buying a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP. I have had two very successful purchases from this dealership in the last year. Both times the staff were very courteous and took the time to actually listen to what I wanted in a vehicle. Salesman Wentao Zhu was an excellent contact at the dealership, I would recommend this dealer to any person looking to get into a brand new Mitsubishi. I found that the report may have actually had a little less impact than one would think, as the dealership starts at the MSRP on their vehicles, so there is much less work to do to get to a price you are willing to pay. | ![]() | |
| Steven from Canmore, AB reported on Saturday, June 09, 2012, buying a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer, and saving $500 off of MSRP. I created a standard offer sheet, stating the retail and wholesale price. I calculated a offer price (half of the markup), and added in all the non-negotiable items like Tire and A/C tax, GST, Freight, and had a total offer price. Sent that out via email to 5 dealers and waited for them to get back to me. First dealer said no. Second had the car we wanted in a colour we didn't want, so we said we would get back to him if we didn't hear back from anyone else. Third dealer said "no problem", so I called him, and made a deal! | ![]() | |

| Scott from Edmonton, AB reported on Tuesday, November 08, 2011, buying a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP. I chose the dealership as I had bought a vehicle in the past and always had great service. In dealing with Aaron he was upfront, honest and humorous making the experience very easy and enjoyable. He mentioned all rebates that were mentioned at CarCostCanada without knowing I had a breakdown. He even stated that trying to hide things is a waste as people can access the info if they look for it and mentioned this website in conversation with me. I found this very refreshing. He has been there for 9 years and has ranked 1st in the country regularily and always near the top. When it came to financials he asked for my magic number. I asked if he had an offer first and he said we didn't need to play games as he knew I had my number and done my research. He was aware that I would be fair and allow a realistic margin. To make my offer I took the wholesale cost of the car added all necessary fees ( a/c fee, financing, transfer, etc..) applied the taxes. I then added just over 3% to the wholesale cost of just the car and added that to my total, then subtracted all rebates that applied. So essentially I covered all costs the dealer incurs and gave 3% on the wholesale cost of a car alone. He went over my numbers with me and stated it seemed fair. He went to his manager and came back a few minutes later to congratulate me. All in all a great experience and everything was delivered as promised when promised. I highly recommend Southside Mitsubishi and more specifically Aaron | ![]() | |

| Jacques from Edmonton, AB reported on Sunday, August 17, 2008, buying a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP. It's EASY -- No Hassle! Once I'd decided on the exact vehicle and options I wanted, I showed my Car Cost printout, and I offered a a 3% mark up: The sales rep said he had no problems with that, and went to see the manager. We eventually settled for the dealer cost plus fees, minus the discounts, and added $500 profit. It was the most painless transaction I EVER went through!!! (And I've never been shy about haggling -- but this way I KNEW I was getting a good deal...) | ![]() | |

| Tucaaue from Edmonton, AB reported on Monday, May 07, 2012, buying a 2012 Mitsubishi RVR, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP. Well, I read a lot about the strategies of negotiating a new car price, and followed some of the advices I found in some of the websites I visited. Being a very practical person, I prepared an excel spreadsheet with the price obtained from My CCC report, added a fair dealership profit, placed my offer on the table and effectively saved $3,200 off the initial price (MSRP + fees) that had been given to me by one of the salesmen at the dealership a week earlier. I was lucky that I was actually dealing with the fleet manager - Mike Kachkar, Southside Mitsubishi, Edmonton. I believe that made all the difference. | ![]() | |
