With factory incentives the cost was ~ $150 over dealer invoice. No haggling involved. Having the dealer cost made the purchase a hassle free process. I was shocked at how low the profit margin was. I also considered purchasing a Toyota Sienna. Armed with my CarCost report the dealer agreed to a 4% profit. Ultimately I chose not to purchase this vehicle because I refused to pay more for fewer creature comforts. I wanted my vehicle to put a smile on my face every time I got behind the wheel. My Journey is certainly providing me with many smiles per mile. Availability of the Dodge Journey R/T in Mango Tango was limited due to the hauling dispute. The manufacturing run had also ended two weeks prior to my decision to buy this vehicle so ordering was not an option. Because were in such short supply dealer trades were not an option. I lucked out on this one. Vehicle was ordered for a client who could no longer purchase it. Dealer was true to his word. Held the vehicle for me with no down and I had never dealt with them before. Salesman called me shortly after vehicle was delivered. All arrangements were made over the phone. Vehicle was prepped and ready to go when I arrived. In and out in less than 30 minutes. The reason I chose this vehicle is pretty simple: Value. It packs a lot of luxury features: Garmin Navigation, Handsfree Voice Command, Leather interior, factory remote start, 330w alpine stereo which rocks, Satellite radio, Automatic Climate Control, keyless entry etc... I also love the Mango Tango exterior colour. I was looking for something that stands out in a sea of beige, silver and white. The interior fit and finish is very good. Plastics are good quality (texture, colour etc...). The kids love that they can help unlock and lock the doors. As long as the key is within 5' of the vehicle you can grab either front handle and unlock the doors. Simply push the button on the handle to unlock. I also like that the touch screen allows you to customize some options. For example you can chose to have horn on or off on lock. You can also chose to unlock driver door only or all doors. Great when all four doors are in use. The only drawback so far is that there is much less space than the van we had been leasing. With a few exterior accessories (bike rack, car topper) we should be able to make due. We only filled the van to full capacity a few times a year. I'm sure I'll appreciate my Journey's AWD more this winter than I miss my van's space during summer holidays.

I chose this dealer because it was local, near my home, had the truck in the color and interior options that I wanted. They continue to give me top notch service and did not argue about the price I wanted to pay for the truck even if they didn't make as much profit they still made a quick sale.
