| HAAS from Summerland, BC reported on Monday, November 05, 2007, buying a 2008 Toyota Camry, and saving $2,000 off of MSRP. Go to the dealer with a reasonable offer and make clear if this offer can not be met you will walk out. Do not haggle. | ![]() | |

| Geoff from Chilliwack, BC reported on Friday, April 11, 2008, buying a 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP. I wanted to keep my purchase to a local dealer if I could. Many of my neighbours had used Valley Toyota for their purchases and had pleasant experiences. The first time my wife and I went in without doing any research we found we were at a disadvantage and had no bargaining chip and the price the dealer was willing to give us was only about $500 off MSRP. After I purchased my CarCost report I saw how much the dealer made off the car and knew that we could go back in for a better deal. I was straight up with the salesman, no BS, I presented the Carcost report to him and said I know how much you make off this car and I am willing to purchase this car at a fair price for everyone. We started negotiations at 3% over cost and settled on 5% over dealer cost in about 45 minutes. I feel this was a fair price for a very popular car that hadn't even hit the lot yet. At no time was there any dispute that the CarCost report was not accurate. Also this is from a company that has what they call "Toyota Access Pricing", which is essentially price fixing in my terms, with my CarCost report in hand, I don't think they know what hit them. | ![]() | |

| Leslie from Abbotsford, BC reported on Sunday, April 05, 2009, buying a 2009 Toyota RAV4, and saving $1,000 off of MSRP. This dealer was willing to negotiate "a bit". The others would not budge from MSRP. I did not use it as much as I should have. I am pretty green about car buying but it did give me a better feeling about what price I did finally get. | ![]() | |
