Let’s face it, I like nice things. Really nice things. Whether it’s watches, clothes, shoes, or cars, style is non-negotiable. Your vehicle is, after all, an extension of your personal brand. For me, there’s no sacrificing style for substance, especially when it comes to my ride. That’s why I drive a Range Rover.
Recently, I had the opportunity to travel with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to experience all their lineup has to offer and, my, what an experience it was. It all began in London, where I joined an exclusive group of invitees to preview the all-new 2025 fully electric Range Rover. While I’m under embargo and can’t spill all the details, I’ll say this: it’s absolutely fantastic and I want one.
Wimbledon and British Elegance
The following day, we headed to Wimbledon in chauffeur-driven 2024 Range Rover SVs. Naturally, no Wimbledon experience is complete without strawberries, cream and Pimm’s. As the official sponsor of Wimbledon, Range Rover went all out. We were ushered through the VIP entrance and into a private hospitality suite where I mingled with JLR’s CEO and other executives over a champagne reception. The pairing of Wimbledon and Range Rover? A match made in British heaven, both with a pedigree rooted in history and excellence.
Glasgow Thrills with the Range Rover Sport SV
Our next stop was Glasgow, where a procession of 2024 Range Rover Sports awaited us at the airport. I, of course, gravitated toward the sportiest of them all: the Range Rover Sport SV Edition One. The handling? Exceptional. The performance? Unmatched. Every curve of the road was a joy, but the feature that elevated the experience to new heights was the immersive sound system. Strategically placed speakers within the seats created a fully immersive experience, with the bass vibrating through the cushions as I cruised down the motorway. Pure sensory indulgence.
Land Rover Experience at Dunkeld: Classic Meets Modern
The following day, we arrived at the Land Rover Experience in Dunkeld. Awaiting us were classic Land Rover Defenders—at least, that’s what they looked like. With updated interiors and modern drive trains, these rugged, boxy icons have been completely re-imagined for today’s driver. They offered the best of both worlds: nostalgic charm on the outside, cutting-edge innovation on the inside. Driving these beauties felt like a step back in time with the conveniences of the present.
Jaguar F-Types and Goodwood Motor Circuit
The journey continued with the 2024 Jaguar F-Pace and F-Type, where I had my pick of the lineup. Naturally, I chose the F-Type SV, a beast of a sports car. I drove it to the Goodwood Motor Circuit, where we spent the day immersed in the “Jaguar Experience.” Getting behind the wheel of a classic Jaguar E-Type—what Enzo Ferrari famously called “the most beautiful car ever made”—was a dream come true. Goodwood didn’t disappoint, and neither did the Jaguar E-Type. Every lap around the track felt like a celebration of speed, heritage, and raw power.
The Beast Unleashed: Land Rover Defender OCTA
After the track day, we moved on to the all-new Land Rover Defender OCTA—a machine built for both the off-road and the racetrack. It’s a rare combination of rugged capability and high-octane performance. Whether navigating off-road obstacles or accelerating on the tarmac, the Defender OCTA performed like an absolute monster. Truly, it’s in a league of its own.
Goodwood Festival of Speed: The Ultimate Car Lover’s Dream
The adventure culminated at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, dubbed “the greatest motor show on earth.” If you love cars, this is where you want to be. From the classics to the contemporary, the festival featured everything you could imagine—including the legendary hill climb. Watching Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen tear up the hill in his championship-winning RB16B, alongside vehicles like the 1893 Salvesen Steam Wagonette, was an experience like no other. It’s a true automotive utopia where history and innovation collide in spectacular fashion.
Conclusion: Looking Forward to the Next Adventure
This journey with Range Rover was nothing short of extraordinary. From London to Glasgow, from Wimbledon to Goodwood, every moment was steeped in luxury, performance, and unforgettable experiences. I’m already counting down the days until next year’s adventure, knowing that with Range Rover, the journey will always be as exciting as the destination.
