So, as incredible as it may seem, the cost of eggs and butter and all other food items at the supermarket will now set the automotive world in a different trajectory. At least that is clearly the result of the election in the U.S., which happens to be a significant source of influence on the global auto industry.

While that may seem like a far fetched thought, I don’t believe it actually is!
With the new administration in the U.S. and potentially one in Canada in 2025, it would be safe to assume the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandates will become far less of a priority than they have been.

Whether that is good news or bad news for the auto industry remains to be seen.

What is, however, significant is the fact that it doesn’t matter which side of the environmental argument including global warming one sits. It is somewhat a strange reality that politics and not any particular ideological commitment seems to be the driving force behind the subject.
