The Lexus RX 350 Stole My Heart
I still remember the moment I became a first-time mom. At the time, I was driving a 2008 Mazda 3. Please don’t judge. She was loyal. I had her for a decade, and she carried me across Ontario through snowstorms, torrential rain and everything in between.
I wasn’t even thinking about upgrading. Why would I? My Mazda was dependable, fun to drive, and had been with me through thick and thin.
Then, my husband pulled a move I never saw coming. He brought home a vehicle for me to test drive, just to “see how I liked it.” Within 15 minutes, I was completely sold. Enter my 2013 Lexus RX 350, white with a gorgeous cream leather interior. It was love at first drive. And when I saw the trunk space? Sound the trumpets!
I never imagined that I’d enjoy changing diapers, but in the RX 350 it was like having a mobile nursery. Road trips, potty breaks, bum changes, snack refills – this SUV made all of it seamless. It was spacious, comfortable, and practical without sacrificing style. When our twins arrived in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic, vehicle supply was low, wait times were high, and we knew we needed more room. We explored other options, but guess what? This Lexus was so well-designed that it fit three car seats across the back seat – comfortably! Not many SUVs can claim that.
And here’s another fun fact: although it’s a luxury brand, my RX 350 was built in Cambridge, Ontario, where I live. That made it feel even more special. Like it wasn’t just any SUV, but one that was truly made for families like mine.
Fast forward seven years, and I still haven’t found anything that compares. I go to the Canadian International AutoShow every year, excited to check out the latest SUVs, and the first thing I do? Open the trunk. And every time, I’m disappointed by the lack of space.
My RX 350 is a perfect blend of beauty and function. It fits my large family comfortably while still matching my vibe – a relatively cool mom who loves to drive in comfort and style. I’ll try anything once, but let’s be real: a minivan just isn’t for me. They look great on some people, but I’ll stick with my RX 350, thanks.
I love this vehicle so much that this past summer I even got my dad one. If that’s not a testament to how much I swear by this SUV, I don’t know what is!
So, until something truly wows me, I’ll be happily driving my RX 350 spacious, stylish, absolutely perfect for our adventures.
